    Forza Horizon Reviews

    Metacritic: 92%

    Opencritic: 91%

    Gamingtrend - 10/10

Forza Horizon 4 is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Incredible driving mechanics, cutting-edge seasonal changes in a shared-world, and addictive RPG mechanics make exploring Great Britain an absolute blast.

    Twinfinite - 10/10

It’s hard to imagine an arcade racer this generation playing and looking much better than Forza Horizon 4. Unless you don’t like racing games, or only appreciate hyper-realism, there’s no other reason that Xbox One and Windows owners should pass this game up. It’s by far the best Xbox One exclusive for 2018, and among the best games this year, period.

    Gamespew - 10/10

It is, without a doubt, the best racing game available right now. In fact, it might be the best racing game of all time. If you own an Xbox One, you need Forza Horizon 4. It’s as simple as that.

    Heavy - 9.8/10

Forza Horizon 4 is an exhilarating tour through the beautiful countryside of Great Britain. Racing game fans and non-fans alike need to give this amazing sequel a go.

    Xbox Tavern - 9.8

Forza Horizon 4 is the most stunning, deepest and most engaging Forza Horizon game to date. The sheer volume of utterly diverse and wildly interesting content pushes the game’s longevity through the roof. There’s no shortage of activities to take to, set across a sprawling, vividly detailed representation of Britain. Safe to say that if you enjoy the series, you’re going to love this.

    IGN - 9.6/10

I’ll always have a massive soft spot for the down under delights of Forza Horizon 3, but open-world racing has never looked as good as it does in Forza Horizon 4. It combines a beautiful world that’s really four hugely distinct maps in one with a constantly rewarding and self-renewing racing experience and I really can’t tear myself away from it. Playground Games hasn’t just upped the ante once again; it’s blown the bloody doors off.

    COGconnected - 9.5/10

Pour yourself a spot of tea, butter and jam some crumpets, cozy up by the fireside, and take Forza Horizon 4 for a spin – it’s a bloody good time.

    God is a Geek - 9.5/10

There is something truly special about Forza Horizon 4 and it is definitely a worthy addition to the series, sitting alongside its predecessor as the pinnacle of racing games.

Playground games is using the Forza tech engine for horizon 4 this engine was develop by Microsoft and Turn 10 but playground redefined the engine with a lot of new assets and now we all are witness the greatness of a very talented team like playground games. One more thing the next project of them (New Fable) it's been develop with unreal engine 4 and guess what who are helping playground with the engine The Coalition.

      RayTracing

How the hell Nvidia leap froged MS and AMD in RayTracing department? MS and AMD cooked something for years and its already inside Xbox One but Nvidia got deal with MS + AMD to get 'DX12' hardware licence and get RT first to the market.

Is that AMD really that bad and slow?

Neither, the problem AMD has is money they are very efficient in the CPU market but they are bad in the gpu's market that's why NVIDIA crush them in every quarter report. If AMD resolve all the problems they had in the gpu area they would be in better position. The only reason Microsoft partner with them is manufacture cost Microsoft engineers are developing Scarlett apu but AMD help them to manufacture it, that's all.

For the Ray-tracing technology yes NVIDIA and Microsoft collaborating together and create the technology but the manufacture cost is to high right now that's why Microsoft go to AMD but they are creating the new gpu's with ray-tracing technology in mind.

What about Xbox One? When they will announce that Xbox One could do the same than Nvidia new cards?

Does RT from Nvidia is DX12 only? I guess RT is capable by GPU accelerators what are already in Xbox One and should be already supported by DX12.

You're right Mr. X, and there were even tech demos of XB1 doing real time raytracing before the 2013 launch. I have a suspicion that several games are already using it to some degree, like Tomb Raider and Metro, but they're just letting the games speak for themselves rather than shouting from the rooftops about it.

Mouse and Keyboard Support for Xbox One Developers

At Xbox, we’re committed to bringing gamers more choice in what they play, who they play with and how they play. We’re also equally committed to providing developers with the best platform to create and deliver the best gaming experience on Xbox. Today we’re announcing a new way to play games on Xbox: we’re enabling mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One for select Xbox Insiders in the coming weeks.

With this new input support at the platform level, developers can now build mouse and keyboard support in their games if and how they choose. It’s important to note that mouse and keyboard support for games is added on a title-by-title basis, entirely at developers’ discretion. For all other titles, nothing changes. Mouse and keyboard input is not enabled by default for games. Each development team knows their titles best and we support them in creating the right experience for their games as they see fit, to ensure an optimal and fair gaming experience.

Warframe will be one of the first titles testing mouse and keyboard input when the feature arrives to Insider in the coming weeks.

While most wired or wireless USB keyboards and mice will work on Xbox One, we know access to best-in-class hardware is a must. That’s why we’re partnering with a premiere peripheral manufacturer in the gaming hardware space – Razer – to bring you the best possible mouse and keyboard experience for this new functionality. We’ll have more to share soon on this partnership, but for now check out Razer’s website and our Xbox Twitter and Facebook pages for a sneak peek.

We’ve been working closely with studios of all sizes to ensure mouse and keyboard experiences on console are fun, fair and correctly balanced, and look forward to introducing more games with support for mouse and keyboard input in the future. Tune into the November 10 edition of Inside Xbox for more details about additional titles supporting mouse and keyboard, and to learn more about our partnership with Razer.

Features like mouse and keyboard support come to life with the right fan feedback. So, as always, please share feedback with us and with your favorite developers to ensure we’re getting this right. If you’d like to test out this experience on Xbox, you can join the Xbox Insider program.

For more on the latest news from Xbox, stay tuned to Xbox Wire.

Plus – stay tuned through October as we reveal more exciting titles joining Xbox Game Pass.

Let’s dive into the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass:

                    Forza Horizon 4 (October 2)

The highly anticipated sequel to 2016’s massive hit Forza Horizon 3, Forza Horizon 4 is an open-worldracing genre-first where players will experience dynamic seasons and explore gorgeous scenery in a shared open-world. Collect, modify, and drive over 450 cars, and play solo or team up with friends to race, stunt, and explore your way through beautiful and historic Great Britain.

Wolfenstein: The New Order (October 1)

Before there was Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, there was The New Order. After a daring mission goes awry during World War II, special forces operative William “BJ” Blazkowicz wakes up in the year 1960 to find that the Nazi’s have taken over the globe. The war isn’t over for BJ as he takes up arms to reignite the resistance and take down the tyrannical fascist regime. Featuring intense first-person shooter combat and a compelling story set in a terrifying alternate history, see where it all started with MachineGames’ reboot of the classic Wolfenstein
                    franchise!

                    Metro 2033 Redux (October 1)

Moscow, 2033. An entire generation has been raised underground after an apocalyptic event two decades prior. As Artyom, a resident of a besieged Metro Station city, you well venture to the desolate, nuclear wasteland above and deep into the heart of the metro system to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat from dangerous mutants and an even more mysterious enemy that goes unseen. Featuring a massive world to explore, weapon customization, and harrowing first-person shooter elements, Metro 2033 Redux is the definitive version of this classic game.

                    Westerado: Double Barreled (October 1)

Cowboys! Guns! Mystery! Experience all that and more in this spaghetti western-inspired action game that’s unlike any western you may’ve played before. After a bandit murders your family in cold blood, it’s up to you to track him down and deliver justice. The wrinkle to the game is that each time you play, the killer’s description and trail is different, and you must piece together the clues as you travel through the open world, taking on side quests and talking to NPCs. If you think they’re giving you the run-around and have info you might need you can pull out your weapon during any conversation to put some pressure on. We call that a gunversation. And while you could end all encounters in violence, we’ll leave that up to you.

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (October 1)

Join Indiana Jones (in brick form) on a series of his classic adventures inspired by the films “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” all with a unique, tongue-in-cheek flavor – and lots, and lots of LEGOs. You’ll battle, build, and brawl your way from the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India uncovering secrets and collectibles galore across 18 levels of family gaming fun.

                    Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (October 1)

With melee moves, magic spells, and Shantae’s trademark animal transformations, you’ll embark on a gorgeously animated, action-packed platformer journey spanning burning towns, tropical waterfalls, searing deserts, haunted abodes, and more. Numerous abilities and upgrades await, and you’ll need them all to discover secret areas and overcome dangerous foes, including a gargantuan sandworm, a very angry mermaid, and Shantae’s arch-nemesis: the sinister pirate queen Risky Boots.

                    Split/Second (October 1)

The city is rigged to explode blow and you’re in control of the action as bridges will fall, buildings will become clouds of rubble, and cars will be blown to pieces. This is the world of Split/Second, an intense racing game set within the world of a big-budget reality game show where contestants will race across a city made for destruction to be first to cross the finish line. Full of explosive stunts, demolition, and racing thrills, this racing game is full of high-octane excitement.

With over 100 great games available for one low monthly price, including highly-anticipated new Xbox One exclusives the day they’re released, plus more games added all the time, Xbox Game Pass gives you the ultimate freedom to play.

Maybe, but i recall an interview with Ted Price and some journalist asked him if insomniac was willing to be acquired and he answer no, that they like they independence as a studio. Time will tell if this rumor is true.

                              :)

There might be some truth to it since they have worked so closely with them for some time. However, as per the Independence thing, Ninja Theory said the same thing, so did Playground Games. Now they are with Xbox. :)
