One of the best movies I've seen - "Idiocracy".
About a military clerk that was frozen and woke up a hundred years later. Due to social changes all Americans (well I suppose all earth but only US shown) became as stupid as imbeciles. And that guy and a prostitute became geniuses and ruled over the country. It's apocalyptic but very funny and very intelligent movie, mocking things that start to happen even right now.

The best part of the movie is at the begining where they explain how the world became full of morons....Classic !
Though I'm not sure you could consider it an intelligent movie, the concept was smart but it had one fundamental flaw. People/Couples who for social reasons stopped having kids before it was too late because they were too busy working, playing, studying and building wealth will overcome the issues with fertility/offspring for the reasons they got there(in the movie) in the first place...money, innovation, technology and human advancements.
Two movies I watched recently, Nightcrawler which is fantastic - Jake Gylennhaal is Louis Bloom who survives by scavenging and petty theft. He stumbles into a new career as a cameraman and - armed with a camcorder and police scanner - begins nocturnal forays across the city in search of shocking and grisly crimes. Seriously a great movie, I couldn't believe this movie wasn't nominated for an Oscar or the actor, Jake Gylennhaal, who transformed himself in this role.
Another great movie I saw a few nights ago, The Lego Movie, really fun film, not sure If there is many people on this forum into Animated films but this is a really fun, intelligent film with plenty of laughs and catchy songs. The animation is beautiful, charming voice cast, plenty of gags and a surprisingly thoughtful story (for me got a bit to serious at points near the end but still great). The Lego Movie is fun for all ages... another movie I was surprised not to get nominated, in the Best Animated film awards at the Oscars.
